Awareness

We humans have been living on earth for a very long time, and during that time we’ve been able to live in harmony with the environment, up until now. The damage we’ve been causing for thousands of years is now becoming clear. Our climate is responding in dramatic ways, and it’s been affecting people from all over the world.

One of the things that has impacted me the most is how our actions have consequences and sometimes we don’t even know who is being hit the hardest with them. This picture is from a little village in Greenland, where we went and visited their school, met the kids and played with them. Their carbon footprint is almost negligible, and they have been feeling the effects of climate change more than most of us who live in big cities and have large carbon emissions.  We have been living in a selfish way, and we should start re-evaluating our lifestyles. Everything has a price, and it’s time to decide if the price isn’t getting too high.
